Complimenti! Very nice - you will have your work cut out persuading builders and geometras not to talk you into over-restoring it. Just looks as if it needs a good sweep out to me!
Well perhaps a tad more than a sweep but I agreewith Charles.
Our house was sort of similar, the wall infront fell down and had to be rebuilt at huge expense and oh how I envied what you have found inside you dream house. Ours had nothing but trees growing through it to the open sky!! A truly worthwhile project and hopefully not costing far far more than you had expected...

Nice website. I was considering volunteering week of my time and many abilities - until I saw the video of the steepness of your land - but what a jewel - I would agree with Charles - just sweep it out.

I have just looked at your web site. I think what you are doing is quite wonderful. Mad for sure, but wonderful all the same. What is it in the British psyche that drives us to restore properties in beautiful but isolated parts of Europe? I have done three houses and I remember spending an utterly idyllic summer in a hamlet of 40 souls in the foothills of the Cevennes with swallows flying in and out of the bedroom thinking I was in Nirvanna. The window wasn't open, it just lacked a few panes of glass. My idyll ended in September when the heavens opened and rustic chic changed rather abruptly to rustic hell. However, it was a wonderful experience. You can live with a lot less than you imagine. I'm desperate to do another building and am looking at Piemonte and the Salento. Best of luck with your project.
