10492 furniture removal calabria

Hi my name is Shirley I am from Scotland.
I am new to the forum but been reading the threads for some time, very informative. I have recently bought a place in Calabria and was intending to take my own furniture across including a kitchen as prices quoted in Italy were crazy!:veryconfused: Removal companies seem so expensive and most of the UK van hire will not allow us to take overseas. Any suggestions anyone?
Also any information on suspended Ryanair flights to Lamezia from Stansted would be appreciated as if this is permanent it will really muck up our travel plans!

Hi shish, where have you bought in Calabria. We've just had a kichen done and didn't think it was too bad. We went to Benvenuto Mobili in Scalo Grisolia near Santa Maria dei Cedri. It came with sink hob, oven and extractor fan. They also fitted it and were amazingly efficient. It took exactly the time to make and fit as they had said and they have a great choice. They also do furniture. There is also an Emmezzeta on the motorway(A3?) north of Cosenza that sells everything for bathroom, kitchens, lounges, bedrooms. It is above a Eorospar and is on he southbound side of the motorway. Check the internet as I think they have a website. What about Ikea in Naples? You can order online and have it delivered.
