 Let's have a look at Sicilian Sagre! you will discover a lot of interesting sagre and religious celebrations in the month of October!

An example?:wideeyed: Sagra del Carrubbo, in a nice village near Ragusa, where a typical fruit of the area is showed. It is used in a lot of recipes, also in cakes or biscuits!! have you ever heard about it? Also, look for "Ottombrata di Zafferarna" set in Zafferana Etnea, a charming town near Catania, where you'll have the possibility of appreciating typical product suchs as grape, muchrooms and chestnuts!!!!

Let me know if any other member of the community visited other interesting Sagra in the sicilian or italian territory!

Don't forget the "Sapore d'Autonno" in Montefalcone, second weekend in October

This is an interesting link for "happenings" throughout Italy. Italia Discovery: la guida per scoprire l'Italia.

Thanks for your suggestion! I watched some photos of Montefalcone on the web and the appearance is quite impressive!:winki:

Hi Sally
thanks for your suggestion!
i find this website quite selective and complete!
it's the ideal thing for people who would like visiting Italy!

Montefalcone Appenino is one of the hidden gems of southern Le Marche. I forgot about that festa, we were there last year in Nov after it was over and the decorations were still up. Looks like fun.

There is also the festa in Smerillo 18/19th October and the wonderful festa in Montemonaco 25/26th October. Then we have the "diamanti a tavola" truffle festa here in Amandola on 7/8th November. Plenty to keep you going!
