10537 Fishing ???

Hi All,

I will be due to revisit Le Marche again soon to meet our estate agent, geometra, etc and will be bringing along my father in law who is a semi retired builder.
His favorite hobby is freshwater or course fishing and wondered if anybody knows if there are any good places (lakes or rivers) in the Fermo - Amandola areas for this activity and also, where can we get a suitable licence so he doesnt get into any trouble?

Thanks
Nigel

Also, as an after-thought. Are the any tackle shops or places where we be able to buy bait?

Here is a list of potential fishing supplies shops in Le Marche.

You might find this earlier thread useful (it mentions that fishing licences are available from the same sort of caccia e pesca shops).

Patrizia's in Amandola (on the left if you look at the arch from the Piazza) or the hunting shop in Comunanza (opposite the petrol station in the main piazza) should be able to sort you out. It costs a fortune to advertise in the yellow pages so lots of people (like us) don't bother. It is a pain because not everything is in it:no:

Hello there,
Have a look at my hunting/Wild Foods blog. I occasional fish the local rivers and lakes as part of my wild food hunting and living naturally. If you want some advice PM me.

In the Val D'Aso are the Laghi Santarelli, between Marina Altidona and Rubianello which offer fishing. I have no idea of the quality though the lakes are quite large and they apparently have a population of escaped beaver!
