10554 Problem with salt system for swimming pool

Wondering if anyone can shed any light on this problem. Friends of ours have had a salt system in their pool for 2 years. About 1 month ago although the unit was working (it was making a noise) it wasn't producing chlorine. Got the man in & he said the solenoid was broken so he replaced it. After this the unit stopped working and he reckons that it is due to there being a lacl of tension in the electricity (not working at 22v-240v) and that is not his problem!! I have spoken to the electricity company who say there has been no change in the electricity supplied to the property and the pool man doesn't seem to be able to explain why the thing has suddenly stopped working. Has anyone ever had a similar experience?

If that pool is in Santa Vittoria, then the unit was faulty when new and was due for replacement. In that case it "should" be covered the usual 2 year warranty. I think that strong words with the installer are called for! If not that pool then oops sorry, but should still contact the installers.

It's not the one in Santa Vittoria but is still in it's 2 year warranty. It's the installer who is insisting it's an ENEL problem & is therefore refusing to do anything about and strong words do not seem to be working! To my mind something does not just suddenly stop working with an electricity supply problem but then I am not an electrician!
