Hi Ricky, Deborah and Mary
Thanks for your advice - we already have 2 quotes for the windows which the builder obtained, but these are over a year old now, so I am off to get more quotes now.
Thanks again
Sharon

Hi Sharon,
We too are about to hopefully start a similar project. Just out of interest, what area is the house in? We have just started preparing a few quotes for windows and have still got to get prices for electric's, plumbing materials, roof repairs, etc, etc...
For instance, we have so far got prices for windows from 2 polish companies (supply only) but will also get prices from local supplies nearer the time.
Let me know if you want any info ref erence the windows.
Good luck, hope it all goes well for you.

Hi
Not sure which part of Marche you are in, but we had a great glass company, who did great, fast and cheap work, PM me if you want there details .

Hi Nigel and Amanda
We are in the area of Liguria - thanks for the offer of advice on the windows. After a rather stressful week regarding the paperwork for the house, I went to see it at the weekend to check the post box and after admiring the view for a minute, it makes all the hassle worthwhile.
Hope all goes well with your rennovation.
Sharon
Hi and welcome
Best bet is to install the windows first, run the electrics and plumbing at the same time, its easier. Its always a good idea to get the place sealed as soon as possible.
Most of the other points can be done with a few ( or many ) visits to you local commune.
