We go to two chalets in PSG - Lo Storione at the south end of the Lungomare, their spaghetti vongole is wonderful and reasonable, the calamari excellent (though not cheap).
We also like Barracuda - near the Comune.
Buon appetito

I don't know how to link to another thread but back in May (I think) I posted a recommendation for Campanelli in Porto San Giorgio - mainly (only?) fish but they did do pasta pomodoro for our non fish eating daughter and tuna pasta for our (fussy) son. Went again in the summer (without the children) and had a fab lunch. I think it's open all year.

Thank you all for your advice.
We met our friends outside Lo Storione but when we went in we were told they were full,(there were only a couple of people in there so I expect they had a party booked in) so we wandered down towards the Marina and found another place. Can't remember it's name and didn't bother to take a card.
It seems quite a pleasant seaside place, nice sandy beach and lots of hotels. The weather was beautiful but the place (as with most Italian beaches in October) was deserted.
The meal we had was nice but we did find the prices much more than we are used to paying in Abruzzo… but it was a sea-front fish restaurant and they tend to be pricier anyway.
One thing I noticed was that the restaurant had a covered swimming pool between itself and the sea - actually on the beach. I suppose it is for people who want to swim without getting wet if it’s raining.:laughs::laughs:
Anyway it was a nice day. Thanks again

PSG is our nearest beach, and also our nearest railway station with links to all over Italy. I like its rather faded grandeur, and eating out at a beachside cafe/chalet can be fun and inexpensive, its also according to a young Italian friend in the summer a good place for nightclubs on the beach, I just like the buzz of it when full of Italians on holiday, but out of season its very sedate and quiet.

Hello
I went to a restaurant in PSG called Il Caminetto after a recommendation from an Italian friend. It is actually a hotel, and looked rather flash. We were getting quite concerned about the price but I seem to remember it was pretty reasonable. We spoke hardly any Italian at the time but the waiter went out of his way to help us and it was a brilliant meal. All fish though from what I can remember!
Hope that helps!
Can anyone recommend a nice, reasonably priced restaurant in Porto San Giorgio for a lunchtime meal?
I’d be grateful for personal recommendations rather than Google links.
Thanks
Hi Nielo
Most of the nicer places will be closed this time of the year , can recommend Storeoni ( check spelling ) in Porta Sant Elipidio, on the beach front, I know its open almost all year round, good anti pasta, pasta and fish mains, not that pricey.
Good luck
