Thought you were off to the pub. J+C and Pigro are waiting per te.

.........can you add an option for "I don't care"?

(not a sarcastic request BTW)

What a good idea.......but I dont know how........darn it !!!!!

Help my polls been hijacked LOL
Thanks Tusc

What J+C impolite???. Perish the thought!!!

I'm not sure that it was a good idea to add an option after the poll had started as there are people here who now have a distinct advantage!!!

Tuscanhills - don't start with all that deleting crap and throwing your weight around please - it makes you look clumsy and allows others to wonder what was originally there and possibly jump to the wrong conclusion that I was rude - it was obvious my post was a joke and after some of the things posted by others recently - well, the less said the better eh?

However, you are forgiven - this time.

What is 'THAT' thread? :wideeyed:

Well I was out from 11.30 to 6pm today (having lunch with two other Italy Magazine members...), so I missed the surprising(?) re-instatement of 'That Thread' and the consequential to-ing and fro-ing.

Following two 'sessions' this evening catching up with all the subsequent opinions posted, I can only say that the outcome was nice to see. Common sense prevailed it seems, and we all learned a bit more about our new Moderator. So, regardless of anyones feelings (mine included), the outcome was what was needed. It demonstrated that he 'new' administrative office will listen, though they may not always be in a position to respond quickly if a problem arises. Forewarned is forearmed on that I guess. Perhaps we have all learned some valuable lessons over the past couple of days!

But as 'members' I feel that we have achieved, (with only a few bruised ego's and no bloodshed what-so-ever), what we are entitled to - that is, reasoned consideration and timely information!

Thank you Cristiana.

It's assumed it was Cristiana that "listened", but perhaps it was the "old boys" that did???

Thanks to all for your precious advice and comments. It makes me realise how present and active you all are in the Forums and how much you care about them.
i will make sure to better explain my actions to avoid such arguments.
This has helped me to learn much more about Members and look forward to discussing Italy with all of you.
Un buon weekend!

Cristiana

:winki:

I left a message yesterday asking what 'THAT' thread was about. I asked as I was interested but as no-one could be bothered to reply and after reading some of the replies on another thread I now realise that this forum is obviously just a club for small minded people who most of the time write a load of drivel.

Hi Sally .........thanks for doing that , I was to drunk to work it out :eerr::eerr::eerr:

Having just read through the thread my thought is that it should be elevated to a 'Sticky' as an exemplar of the manner in which forum members seek and offer assistance.

Many posts down the line, do you still think that sinalpha??? Maybe we could have another poll too??? Or maybe not as the outcome is predictable. lol

Again, someone who should look at their own response and see how it actually applies so well to them too!
Had you been bothered, then you would have found the thread yourself!.

"Small mindedness"

Isn't that when someone who thinks the world revolves around them, and everyone is obliged to drop everything and do their work for you!

Surprisingly, you could not be arsed to do a search, but indeed found the energy to write the drivel above!

Borrini,
I know sometimes it is difficult to follow a discussion, especially when it is across different threads and there are insider references between members.
The next time you have any doubts, please send me a Private Message avoiding to bother other members.

It would be best if all members tried to answer gently to people that could be, with reason, a little puzzled given the number of posts sent every day.

Cristiana

Thank you Cristiana.
I am not on this forum everyday and did not understand what 'that' thread related to. I had read the considerable posts re Mr Newman's problems but there was nothing to say the 2 were related.
I don't know how good your English is so just in case you didn't understand - the post yesterday morning from a 'gentleman' means can't be bothered, it is rather a common turn of phrase.
