10721 Apartment In Turin

Myself and a colleague are moving to Turin with work to start a new job starting on the 3rd of November.

We are looking for a two bedroom apartment to rent for 6 months, and we need to find something as soon as possible.

Can anyone recommend an estate agent or similar to help us!?

No but I suggest you advertise for free in both expatriates.com - the online community for expatriates, or Welcome to English Yellow Pages for Italy - your guide to English-speaking businesses and professionals

Look at the Italian equivalent of Rightmove - this is Case e appartamenti in vendita – Annunci immobiliari - Casa.it.

You need to click through 'Afitti', then 'Residenziale', then search the 'localita/comune' of Torino (and any neighbouring comuni if you want to rent out of town).

Looking at the individual properties on offer will also help you to understand which Turin agents specialise in rentals, so you can visit them or their own websites.

Which area in Turin are you looking for? You could do a search on the yellow pages for local estate agents... leases in Italy are a bit more complicated than here, would it be short term or long term? Have you thought about a serviced apartment?

To continue, one word of warning about casa.it. My impression is that listings are updated less frequently than on similar UK sites, so don't get too excited about any properties you may find interesting as they may have been let already. However this impression has been gained from a rural area, and may not be true for Turin.

I think your comment is correct, in Italy interner web sites are not quite as used as in the Uk...so much less reliable. Much better to pick up the phone and speak to someone.
A friend of mine is an estate agent in Turin, so Wall pag if you are stuck send me a pm and I will give you his email.

Thank you all for your help so far.

We don't mind too much which area, but the center or close to work (south) would be preferable.
I have looked at serviced apartments but they are very expensive. It does seem difficult to find a 2 bedroom apartment.

You may have noticed this by now, but Case e appartamenti in vendita – Annunci immobiliari - Casa.it allows you to select one or more zones (puoi selezionare una o piu zone) in Turin out of a fairly long list, in order to refine your search area to the one you want.

If you work in the south of the city you might consider living in La Crocetta, it is a lovely area, fairly close to the city centre, auch, quite expensive....
I sent you a private message with my friend email address, I hope he will be able to help!
