10612 Future plans

Ronald, there have been one of two reflections on the state of the forum recently & I was keen to know if there are any future plans to modify or enhance it?

This has only really cropped up in my mind after someone resurrected the "Plans for '08" thread....but it would be useful to know what plans you have.

If nothing else, it's encouraging to hear comments that the mods are doing an "OK job" :yes:

mods are doing a fantastic job :smile: plans remain pretty much the same with the only added benefit that now we have a couple of more staff to help implement them - it has not been easy freeing up time for me to do certain things but we are finally getting there. Cristiana will start digging out the good threads to set apart (which is the start of a wiki) and we will be updating the forum software as well (no dramatic changes just keeping up with security risks etc)

eventually cristiana should also better fit the admin role - was away when the whole thread closed then opened thing happened and clearly she was caught unaware of some of the complexities of the lovely characters on these forums

on the language front I realise that english is not always perfect but I did not think people (or 1 person really) would take such offense with it - after all the fact that there is a real italian on the forums every day I thought would have much more value than grammar. in any case will try and find a way to manage that as well
