{For electricians] It is possible to transfer your qualifications over to Italy - a friend of mine has done so.

I think it depends on;-
1. what level your qualifications are [in theory UK qualifications are recognised EU wide]
and
2, how good your Italian is, and how hard you are prepared to 'push' when you are told that they are not acceptable.
