Mamma mia - da quanti anni non mi mangio un baba o sfogliatella! The best ones I ever had were from a little back street pasticceria in Torre Annunziata - made by a very old lady and her granddaughter who sold them for pennies from their ground floor front room. Lovely!

Straight from the horse's mouth as it were!!! lol Sounds lovely J+C.

Have you ever tasted any of these cakes Sal? You would die and go to Heaven if you did. Try one.

What you want me to join you then??? lol

I was demoted to Hell for other sins Sally - along with all my friends. Could you handle the heat?

Sure I can and look forward to meeting ya palz - and can I call you jc from now on as it really is a pain to have to type the usual J+C.

We are creating a diversion, so better we start discussing again Sicilian desserts (or "just desserts" - lol)

No, you cant call me jc - people will think I can walk on water - and I've become rather attached to J+C now.

I'm off now to make some tea (Turkish) and eat some very sweet Baklawa bought from Green Lanes in London a couple of days ago.

Thank You Cristiana, my OH has been asking me to make these since he saw The Godfather - the only time I saw them on a menu was in the Italian Restaurant in Disney Epcot in Florida!
On the menu for the weekend now....

Grazie

I must say I was very attracted to the article myself but how this squares up with an advert on this page promising you the chance to lose 90lb I don't know.
