Hallo!
I am an Italian 30 years old mum of a lovely 32 months girl. I am orignally from Naples and I have been living in Assisi for the past 4 years.
I graduated in London and my boss until last February was American. I love spending some time with people from other countries as I don't feel I can share much with the close minded Umbrian people.
I would love to meet you for a coffee or for a nice meal:yes:
My daughter would love having some English speaking friends too. She is used to English speaking.
Let me know where you are and when we can meet:smile:

Valentina, you are going to be of great help to these girls and you may also help them with their Italian as they also need to socialize more with the locals in their own towns. I would advise you to remove your private email address and cell number as it is not safe to give that information in an open forum. You can do it by pressing the Edit button that appears in your copy of the message. You can then send a private message to those you wish to contact by pressing over the names and you will be guided to sending private messages.
Best luck with the group and tell us how you go.

Hello Valeassisi and welcome to the Forums,
I'm sure you'll find here plenty of English-speaking people to talk with.
What I can advice you is to teach English to your child as much as you can, this will help her in the future... but please please, explain to her that the Italian alphabet doesn't have W Y and X!
Just look to these videos to understand:

Can you see any difference between the English alphabet and the Italian one?
Cristiana

The most difficult letter for me to pronounce correctly in Italian is "r" (erre). I just dont roll those r's enough - it always sounds flat.
