11002 google recreates ancient Rome.

Thought some of you might like to take a look at this [url=http://earth.google.com/rome/]Google Earth[/url]
It is an additional layer for google earth which shows the terrain of ancient Rome and includes nearly seven thousand historical buildings , You can fly though it.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Thanks Noelle. I have read about this and already tried to find it on my Google Earth. However techno-inability has defeated me. Can you talk me through how to find this once I have Google Earth open

Hi Annec I hope this works for you. Under the layers section look for Gallery, click the little disclosure triangle and you should see the option for Ancient Rome 3D, Tick that and it should start downloading. It does take a while to download but it is worth it.
