Our small local supermarket also provides them, but my mind has gone a total blank as to what I would like put in it so not playing the game I am afraid .Perhaps because we eat so much nice food out here all year it is difficult to think of anything extra special for Christmas. I can think of what I would like for Christmas so may start another thread!.

I'd have to go for the 1euro bars of cooking chocolate they sell in ECU- It's better than eating chocolate and I always bring bars home to eat.
Sad or what? :yes::no::yes:

I forgot the big chunk of Parmesan!
Incidentally some of those baskets make lovely cat’s/small dog’s beds if you add a cushion.
Panetone, soft nougat, Prosecco, dried fruits and nuts, chocolates, liqueurs, wines, marrons glacés, marzipan.... just to add to your list.
In Spain these baskets are very popular, it was traditional for firms to give one of these to each employee at Christmas. They used to spend about 60 euro per basket.... well, this was before the recession. There are recent reports that they are now asking for little boxes with a maximum value of 6.50 euro.... Those companies specialising in Christmas presents are desperate..... I guess that this would apply everywhere.
