A solution has been found to the cliff-hanger ending of The Italian Job.
The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) launched a competition to work out how the robbers got away with the gold at the end of the 1969 heist film, which sees their bus teetering over the edge of an Alpine road on its way to Switzerland.
