11670 What the VF?

This (attachment) was posted on the flickr site, in a very very obscure group - with the question - what on earth is this about! It looked a serious candidate for being an Italian road sign to me, so I thought you lot would appreciate the chance to (mis)interpret it!

A warning against poisonous plants ?

A lady's gloved hand about to pick up a liquorice twist???

Well, Sally, I had to remove you from my ignore list to read your comment (so behave, or I'll put you back on it!)
I agree that it is resembles a feminine hand, and, thinking Bassets Liquorice Allsorts, they did manufacture a black coated white centred sweetie, which is a credible interpretation of what the hand might be grabbing...but (in the illustration) it's a bit long for one of those, isn't it?

Indeed!!! lol But I was stuck for an alternative!!! lol

looks a bit like

Oh Charles look what you have done!:laughs:

It is obviously directions for rolling out the new black pasta (with squid ink), shape designed by an engineer at Ferrari.

The new shape has been designed to complement a sauce with razor clams, garlic, parsley and cream. Best accompanied with a nice chilled Trebbiano.

During Damage Control training in the Navy, we were cautioned that tiny leaks in hydraulic pipes and hoses were dangerous because the fluid can be ejected with so much force that it can pierce the skin and inject the liquid into your body if you should come into contact with the jet.

Damage Control - is that "after the event " Health and Safety Al?

PS. My guess - Don't pick up viperi without an escape route

The sign looks a warning about getting an electric shock from a damaged cable

my favourite sign

Damage Control is the term used to describe the measures taken by the crew to keep a ship afloat after something catastrophic happens due to enemy action, equipment failure or human error.

There's no shortage of Health and Safety regulations in the Navy, but stuff still happens and you have to be prepared to deal with it. Dialling 999 doesn't help much if you're in a submarine 500 feet below the surface of the North Atlantic when a hull fitting fails or if a missile blows a hole in the side of your ship 500 miles from the nearest land.

Instructions on how to play some type of musical instrument?

Well, I've got to award first place to Nielo for the best notion, though I'm sure Allan is correct with the hydraulic fluid - it explains what the little black lines are all about. (For alanh, it's from the flickr group called "Stick Figures in Peril")
But why is it a feminine hand - which surely it is! Is it some sort of super politically-correct reminder that there are women who mess with hydraulic lines, or super politically-incorrect because only a silly bird would get into trouble with spurting oil?
