The forum has been slow for me over the last couple of days, but that's something that often happens and I'm never sure if it's because of a problem at forum's end or due to my crap internet connection. Whether to blame [I]that[/I] on Telecom Italia's wires, my ISP (Tele2), simply being in Italy or being very rural, I've never been sure.

This occasionally happens to me but I find if i logoff go on to another website and then come back to Italy Mag I usually get a connection.

Gala wrote to Admin and they say the fault is at her end yet this website is the only one she still cannot access. Very odd.

Perhaps Spain, or her ISP has blocked it for some unknown reason. Get her to try something like Hotspot Shield to give an IP Address in America, it may work.

I have just installed it. You now have two options to access sites. To use your own ISP you click on a new little icon with a cross that appears at the top right of the window. There is also a green button at the very top right hand menu where you can disconnect completely and view your new ip address.

When I used it, I just got the new IP address and then accessed the site. After access then I have just shut HSS program down and even though the site is not allowed in Italy, it connects every time.

It works on the Beeb's i player .....

You are in the UK Sally, so no problem. Iplayer will not allow a non Uk site to access it from a US IP address.

You can access Filmon.com in America though, which is not available in Italy.

I seem to be able to access that one here without using the intermediary. Useful for say The American Open Tennis Tournament, Flushing Meadows in September or perhaps the upcoming Oscars.

Hi, I think I'm back. Sort of a miracle, I would say. I thought I would give it a try... and here I am. I do hope it is the end of the problems.... Very strange, indeed!!!! Thanks for all help given. I have to catch up with the news now.

Seems to be quite a lot of that going on at the moment Sal - cant think of a reason why anyone would be doing that - but this thread has had a couple of votes so I'm not too sure there are any underhand goings on here - unlike other threads I could mention that get voted one star. :no:

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome and I must tell you that I missed you a lot. As for the reasons behind this problem..... I am still trying to figure them out. I used three different computers, different servers.... nothing worked. I thought that I had been "excommunicated" or sent into exile and just today.... it decided to go back to normal. I do hope it will last.....
