12070 Enjoy Italy On Line (Video + Stills)

My film "Gondola With the Wind 2" can be seen on the web if you have a high speed internet connection. The video features Rome, Florence, Venice, Pompeii, Capri, Pisa, and many other parts of north and south Italy.

This is a free, non-commercial, streaming video on the Windows Media Player. No ads and no strings attached. I still sell absolutely nothing.
My video site is:

There are over 30 of my other amateur travel videos on-line covering all 7 continents, including trips to China, Australia, Russia, Antarctica, American National Parks, an African safari, Egypt, Peru, Mayan pyramids, Berlin & Paris, Greece and Turkey; see whales, penguins, or polar bears. One of these films is the original “Gondola With the Wind”, filmed seven years before Gondola 2. It begins with Italy, followed by Eastern Europe.

I have been to Italy more often than any other foreign country. The result is three quite different videos of Italy from 1994, 2001, and 2008.

The videos are actually distinct from one another, since it would have been pointless to keep doing the same thing.

In 1994 I filmed in Rome, Florence, Pisa, and Venice. The second half of that film covers other nations in Europe.

2001 is entirely about Italy, north, south, and middle, trying very hard not to repeat myself.

The most recent trip was to Sicily in 2008. There is no duplication with the prior videos. This film concludes in Malta.

My posts have a common format, but the focus ought to be on the three films, not posts.

Except that this is a community of people with interests in Italy - all you seem to be interested in promoting your videos - you appear to have made no other contribution to the forums in the time you have been a member.

I certainly qualify as having a sincere interest in Italy, as expressed in three videos and many stills, plus four trips to Italy. My videos and photos of Italy ought to count as a contribution to the forum.

People can learn something about a nation through photography, especially video. The technical limitation is that a dial-up connection will not work, with broadband required to view my films.

There's no way of knowing whether you ever went to my site, checked it out, and perhaps watched a video of Italy. If not, then this criticism is entirely aimed at my posts, earlier calculated at two a year. That is hardly intrusive. Many others make commercial posts, unlike mine.

I would upload stills from Italy if that were possible here, but it's not, far as I can tell.

Often the photography I link to generates a discussion, and I always answer questions plus comments such as these. Please consider that I am doing the best I can as a member and contributor.
