Ciao, My wife and myself bought a place in Maiera Calabria in January 2007. My great grandfather and great grandmother came from Italy in the mid to late 1800s. We love to visit Italy. We try to get to Italy 3 or 4 times a year.

Hi

My partner is from Maiera although we live up in Tuscany. Whereabout is your house -in the village or the countryside? We get down there 2 or 3 times a year. It's a lovely area - my favourite part is on the road down to Diamante when the view just opens up and you have mountains coming right down to the biggest sea I've ever seen in my life!

Ciao Nicola, We are in the village. Via Sciola. The view from the village is amazing, as you say, the drive down is unbelievable. We will be there from 12th June untill the 26th. If you are there give me a shout.

Ciao Nicola, sorry I made a mistake, the name of the street is Via Scoile.
