We think its a great idea, what do we do next?
In reply to A newbie all over again! by Annec
You are soooooo not peeing on my jeans!
In reply to A newbie all over again! by Annec
Its an idea, but how would it function?, and what purpose would it serve over and above the section already on the forum?. Perhaps Neilo could give us some help and ideas as she has the experience learnt from her own group.

To clarify
Nobody has to pee on anybody elses jeans.
I merely used the word 'Chapter' to capture interest. I wish to goodness that I hadn't!
JC you are a pesky monkey  adorable, but a monkey nevertheless!

Yes let's do it! As for starting a group, why not? Do we use the invite only option? We are a very exclusive bunch! Or thrown open to all? After all we are becoming more of a sociable mass after many years of pretending that we are the ONLY great white hunters in "the undiscovered Marche"?:winki: Posts hidden from visitors? 'cos we are probably very secretive about OUR eating places and beauty spots!?
Questions, questions, questions.
Great idea Moxie(and him).
Were you in San Severino yesterday?

How are you accessing the Groups?
I always go for the ‘Groups’ button, which appears at the right hand top of the page, next to ‘forums’.
I then get a list of all the groups of which I am a member, followed by a list of all the groups listed in order of , which had the most recent post.
The last group listed id UK TV, which has only had one post.
Although it says page 1 of 2, I don’t think there are any other groups and that is why you can’t open page 2… there is nothing to open.
Good luck if you decide to open a new group and if you need any help just ask, but it’s very easy really or I wouldn’t have been able to do it!
Oh and judging by the comments above you may want to leave the windows open to get rid of the smell of pee.

Thank you Nielo for restoring sanity, do you find that there is a function for an additional group? How does it differ from posting here on the main forum? Does it increase the community spirit etc?
JC - dearest, I didn't ask you to bring my beeeeeoootiful thread to its knees by introducing the somewhat off putting subject of bodily functions now did I? We will not be paying the agreed amount so let's re negotiate or you won't be seeing a single red cent. Alternatively you can redeem yourself by working your magic on the 'not a bot' thread which is floundering at best (that or kill it off completely please). Its truly painful to watch in its current condition inspite of (and him)'s sweet effort during his tea break.
Mr Uno - Tell us ... was it the Maiden and Judas Priest t-shirts or 'The Greatest Puccini Show on Earth' on the car stereo that gave us away?
The word 'pee' or any reference to it is now officially banned from this thread. If the peeing persists I shall inform the authorities or commence red triangling the offenders (is triangling a word?)
there are no available smiles on quick reply so its DIY or nowt.

To use smilies on quick reply you must ‘go advanced’, and may the force be with you.
There is a problem using groups. All you get at the moment is a string of messages so some can get a bit lost. There was talk some time ago of a forum upgrade and I think one of the extra functions is that it enables threads to be created in the Groups. But then I am still waiting for the new smilies we were sort of promised way back at Christmas…maybe for Easter?

It may have been the state of your jeans that alerted me! So you were the bearded lady with the Priest shirt? I was the bloke in shorts and flip flops, sunglasses on a rainy day...what a liar.
So are you starting this group or shall I Madam?
In reply to A newbie all over again! by Annec
Well someone better had, and dont expect me to , my technical skills are not celebrated on this forum, (ps I had to ask Robert what an Indie band was) still not much wiser.

We're not entirely convinced that enough interest has been demonstrated to start a group yet are you?
Thus far we have Villa Sib, S&M, A&R, D'uno, us and of course the snot queen...
It would be fantastic if a long standing Marche forum member started the group as this would lend credence to the new group from the off.
Thoughts?

The Queen will snot be joining the Marche chapter Group due to prior engagements - so you'll be quite safe - if you ever get around to doing it. :laughs:

An Abruzzo group was started but fizzled out quite quickly. I think that most subjects can be covered in the main forum and therefore get more response but I would also say that If someone starts a group and it doesn’t take off, never mind, Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

The Marche Chapter of the ItalyMag Forum is now open. Members welcome for chat on all topics of Marchigiani relevance. You don't have to live here to enjoy it!

Do we all have to have tatoos? I only ask as I had a bad experience with my one and only...... passed out and sick in a raffia basket! Not really up for another one.
In reply to A newbie all over again! by Annec
Sorry - Marche Chapter tattoos and leather jackets are compulsory...

Err..no. Tattoos,t shirts, denim, leather, BIG bikes, rock chicks. All not necessary but not turned down either. Bandanas maybe:eeeek:. Vasco wore one for a while, so an Italian link there.
Good idea Moxie - you never know there may even be one just round the corner on page 2 but we can't open it either! Maybe someone who knows how to set up 'groups' will help us. Would love to share/ swap hints and tips with other fellow Le Marche members who are interested!
