12096 Selling Calabrian property, any advice?

Hi, I've recently completed on a spacious two bed apartment on the La Brezza complex near to Lamezia Terme and due to domestic circs i'm considering selling it. I have no experience of selling property in Calabria, does anyone have any advice as to the best way to go about it? Does anyone know of any reliable Estate Agents in the area or am I best advertising on the internet?

Any advice gratefully received!!:veryconfused:

Hi - I dont think it will be easy - most people have bought new and buy new. Even though yours is new, it is technically second hand and the market is pretty flooded.
You must remember that if you havent taken your residence and opted for first house you will have 20% capital gain to pay on any profit for the next 5 years. You can subtract all your legal fees involved with the purchase.
I would plump for a FIAIP agent in the area. Go to F.I.A.I.P. - Federazione Italiana Agenti Immobiliari Professionali and click on associati which will give you a list of FIAIP agents in Calabria and you can choose one. Send me a PM if you need more advice.

Hiya
We bought an apartment in Scalea with Scalea Properties but if you google Scalea
you will see quite a few Estate Agents. Tony Hackett is who we went through and
there is also another man by the name of Tom Long who mainly sells to the the Irish
community.
Tonys web site is ENGLISH - Scalea Property Services

Tom Longs is Italian Property for Sale in Calabria | Buying Houses in Italy | Italian Properties in Calabria, Scalea.

Hope this is of some help
