12417 Fireflies

First ones of the season spotted late last night doing their twinkling act up the lane, I remember last year we had two small boys staying with us, who lived in central London, and as a treat they were allowed to stay up late to catch them in jam jars before setting them free again, absolute magic, (they both cried when they had to leave Italy and go home again!).

That's early A&R Love them and a bit like waiting to hear the first cuckoo isn't it. None here so far but seen a few snakes!

Hooray, I'm coming out next week and would be thrilled if the fireflies are in residence. Particularly since we are having an art weekend with jazz/theatre/painting going on (Didn't start out on this post with the intention of giving a plug - but since I'm halfway there - if anyone wants to come along on the weekend of 23rd May, PM me)
