It will be easier to find the type of shop you need near Perugia. Leroy Merlin has everything you need http://www.leroymerlin.it/negozi/perugia-bastia-umbraOtherwise, you may Google "fair da te Umbria" and you may find some shops, like the Brico Io chain. I remember seeing the type of screens or stores you mention in Tuscany, so they should also have them in Umbria.

Try this site, you will of course need to know the Italian for the item(s) you are looking for. Your local ferramenta will likely sell most items, and a lot cheaper and/or better quality than Leroy Merlin.

I have to disagree with the above statement. Leroy Merlin is a retailer, so they will sell items which are also available from a local Brico shop. The advantage is that you have a large choice to check and compare from. As for price... Usually smaller retailers have problems matching prices offered by large chains, but still, it is always a good idea to check what is available locally.
