I don't know if he left Italy or not, but there was this guy on the local Abruzzo forum who worked in iron and did this very thing... Failing that look for a nearby blacksmith, they do exist here as I spotted one in Mutignano last time there...

Thanks have looked at his website , he does some amazing work.. Will email him and enquire. Might be out our price range but you never know worth an ask... Do you know of anyone that has had a stair done by him if so any idea roughly what he charged ... Thanks again Ali

Sorry Ali I don't know anyone, but the local forum had a post a while back and I'm sure a number of people said they were well pleased. I do half suspect he has went back to Ireland, but you never know he may still visit and do some work here... good luck.
