I suspect the silence comes from everyone believing that the cost to bring food over would be in excess of the value of anything brought! Or in other words there isn't anything we miss that much :-) Maybe if you gave an indication of costs and confirmed if you have refrigeration facilities etc it might prompt some interest???

Why would any one in their right mind want something form a UK supermarket as opposed to an Italian one? I can get (if I so wished) Heinz baked beans, all be it at €1.78 a tin, at my local Hypermarket and most other things or a very good Italian substitute, anytime I want. Thanks for the kind though and offer R Stalled, but I stock up with Marmite on visits home, everything else I prefer to 'Shop Local' as one chain claims...

I'm a little sorry that I too didn't at least put a reply in, but I had nothing positive to say!. For us, there is so little that we miss, so very little that our eating habits have probably changed ! I used to like Heinz tomato ketchup...............I now find it too sweet !! Like other posters, we have local friends and family who come over bring the VERY few things that we want or would like. Also, I seem to recall that there was another poster who offered the same type of service I think ? Good luck with this (and any other ) venture, S

Thanks folks for your feedback, My regards to Umberto if you are shopping in PSG Sprostoni. It was not a business just an offer to bring over bits you may miss and try and help me with petrol costs, as the name says Restoration stalled.............no work no money no restoration. Back to the drawing board!!!!!!!!!!!
