Chianina Event

Hello and greetings everyoneThere are so many events around the 30th May to 1st it is difficult to choose which one to attend. I thought I bring to your attention one event that we attended last year and will be attending again this year with friends and family. The event is based in Bettolle (Siena) not far from Umbria. It celebrates the Chianina cattle breed over the three days with lectures, stalls in the village and two dinners and a lunch. Last year the lunch was held in a marquis and the all the courses were based on the Chianina beef (the same theme this year). The wines were exquisite (Montepulciano, Montalcino and Chianti). The wines were served by sommeliers. Each course was cooked by a different chef and each was accompanied by a different wine. To top it all we had the pleasure of the company of Paulo Rossi (the footballer): I think he will there again this year. That was Italian fine dining at its best!
