Property Sales/Rental Advice

Hi

We are travelling to Puglia in May to try to buy a property if we can find something suitable. Anyone got any advice. Also can anyone recommend a good English speaking lawyer in the area as we would like to get our own indepenent advise.

We want to use the house for personal and rental use with a view to using it for longer periods ourselves in time to come.

We are split between a tullio or a newer property.

Any advice or words of warning gratefully received.

Thanks.
Has anyone bought in Le Marche recently?
Hi Annie

We recently did a restoration project in Isola, which is near Cingoli. We both live there full time and think the region is great. Having just spent two years in North Carolina, we thought we couldn't find anything as good, but how wrong we were.
Our village has 52 residents and in the few months we have been there we have met virtually everyone, been invited to numerous dinners and got to know some really fantastic people. We are both very outgoing and speak the language reasonably well, which we feel is the most important thing.
We shipped everything over from the U.S and bascially the whole village helped us to move in with tractors, trucks, even Ape's. (we made the big mistake of moving in, when the whole of Italy was covered in the worst snow storm for 50 years).
We have settled well, we are emigration Junkies, but we think Italy is were we will make our 'home'
