I've only just found the new site by luck because I had the old one in Favourites and that came up repeatedly with error messages. Why don't you direct people from there to the new site?
However now I've found it I'm very disappointed - its just confusing, too complicated and too many options.
All suggestions welcome...

I realise that some may find the new forum different or more complicated than the last one... However, the basic functionality is essentially the same. If there is a discussion you wouldl like to join in just click on the Reply button, fill in the box and hit submit. You can ignore all other features if they are not useful or confusing!
Also if there something that you would really like to see then let me know - for example people pointed out that the date was not in European format and it has now changed :) So any suggestiosn - just fire away...!

far from me to be agreable about anything.... but all i can say after the first five minutes of sorting out the new site it has all worked better and easier than the one before..... so technically i cannot fault it.....as in general life change does not always suggest something better.... but if you look back at the past six months of forum life you might say it was irregular.... to say the least.... as old protagonists and friends find the new forum and link in..... it doesnt take a brain surgeon to work out that its the link to the forum not the homepage which doesnt work from the past.... and for one i am sure that given another few weeks everyone from the past will find that it all becomes familiar and easy..... i for one think the change in reliability and speed of loading...the quick links are all for the better and would congratulate all involved on a job well done.... as to the content...well thats up to us all... and no i havent just been offered a job ....
Quite right

Ronald
I agree with John. It's an improvement and looks far more up-to-date.
Good stuff & keep it up
Russ :)

OK OK
perhaps I was a bit hasty
now I've used it more I admit its faster and better in some ways
and thanks Ronald for changing the date format as I asked
hi kirstin,
you are absolutely right - personal information can be used to bad effect.
however, it is also true that there are people who do not mind sharing some personal informaiton. point in case the date of birth - it is entirely optional whether to enter it or not and it is made clear that if entered it will be visible in the forum calendars. those that like to get lots of greetings on their special day can enter it while others can leave it empty!
all the best,
ronald.
