Mille grazie!
Heck of a lot of espresso in there! Guess I will have to try this for a Sunday lunch or I won't be getting any sleep.

One espresso is a pick me up, two espressos is a turbo-charge, six espressos??
What size is a cup?

When you say 6 cups of espresso, do you mean a) the amount of espresso that you get if you ask for a coffee (how much is that, exactly) or b) six cups as in a normal measuring cup? It makes a difference I think...

Well I hope to all that's holy that he is referring to espresso cups!!!

I have made tiramisu a number of times.
For a pakage of lady fingers (approximately 24).
6 "espresso cups" is not enough and 6 "measuring cups" ( 1 1/2 Litters) is way to much liquid.
I find 2-3 measuring cups (750 ml) of espresso and 2-3 tablespoons (45ml) of your favourite chocolate based liquor is plenty of liquid.
You don't want soggy lady fingers as a base.

Thanks for the recipe Marco I made it for Sunday lunch yesterday and it was superb! And very easy to make. At last I've found a use for that coffee liquor we bought in the duty free shop!!

ciao a tutti
if you use espresso cups then a full one of them *6 is quite sufficient plus remember you are also adding the liqueur, too much liquid and you will get a soggy tiramisu, you dont want that, ciao marco
ciao sano

1tsp vanilla sugar/or a few drops of vanilla extract
100ml of single cream

6 cups of espresso coffee
4 tbsp coffee liqueur, kahlua, or brandy

cocoa powder for dusting
method:beat egg yolks withcaster sugarand vanilla until thick and mousse-like. beat the single cream into the mascapone to loosen it, then carefully fold mixture into the egg yolk mix.
spread half the mix over the base of a large shallow dish. mix the espresso with the liqueur in a dish then briefly dip the savoiardi biscuits in one by one putting them immediately on top of the layer of marscapone . when you have used up the biscuits put the remaining mascapone mix on topto cover them completely put in the fridge and chill. before serving dust with cocoa powder perfect, hope this helps tried tasted wonderful ciao marco
