good hunting

simple.... there are lots of the small fiats around...they command quite high prices for what they are.... but you will find them in the local abruzzo paper... you will have to be resident and also go thru a lot of paperwork to buy a car here.... it takes about a week.... make sure you have your insurance sorted to as well before attempting to buy....cause transferring your no claims from uk to here is hard......

the bee keeper part i dont know but i do know we have several around here and a quick talk with a local owner will easily sort out that one....so when driving up to your house keep your eyes peeled.... if you are arriving into the teramo region of abruzzo let us know and we can put you in touch maybe with a local bee keeper

Thanks for the info Libero.
Took a look-saw price-woke up. You won't be suprised to hear we are looking for something cheaper. Have we inadvertantly picked a fashion accessory here?
Grazie Tanto.

John,
Just noticed you are already in Abruzzo, especially when you mentioned the 'local papers'. How much is something like a fiat 500 or topolino in the papers there?. By the way we bought between Vestea/Montebello de Bertona.
Grazie mille.

Hello Rob,

Sorry if this is off-topic, but if you are between Vestea and Montebello, have you been to the briiliant little restaurant called La Pietra? If not, it's worth a look.

Marc.

Buona sera Marc,
.....have we been there?, our house is across the road! So i think a 'yes' would be superfluous.
Ciao Rob

If you want a cheapish car - go for the Fiat Panda. Sure the 500 is cute but the Panda is more practical and probably costs about the same in gas, insurance, ect.
As for the beekeeping equipment you should be able to find it when you get here. Find someone that has bees and ask them . If you are lucky they will have a few extra houses to sell you cheap (which is a good idea if you have no experience with bees you may want to start out with a house or two and see if you like them)

Hi Kellytree,
Thanks for that advice.

Re; the car.......but that's what Lindas' set her heart on!

Re; the bees....I'm an experienced keeper & have approached a keeper of 50 hives near Penne who tells me he inherited his equipment - like most - & being Italian, repairs or makes new himself. As you can imagine i am looking for 2 hives & nucleus broods to build up this year for foraging next to see what the food situation is like for them.(the amout of honey they pull in will usually tell you).

Ciao
Rob
