I saw a shop in Fasano selling woodburning stoves just a couple of weeks ago. If you come out of emmezeta and turn left, just keep heading up the hill in to Fasano and the shop is on the left hand side. Don't know what it's called as I just happened to notice it in passing.
As a point of interest, I have to add that I think the general quality of stuff you get in emmezeta is pretty low and quite expensive for what you get. Some stuff is ok like the set of bunk beds I got for the kids, but most of the tools I have bought there have been like rubbishy toys which don't help to make a decent job and end up getting broken quickly. It's just my own opinion and I can't suggest an alternative to emmezeta at the moment apart from a couple of little hardware shops I've seen around Ostuni, but next trip I am driving over and taking a full tool kit of decent quality gear over from the UK.
windows and doors.

The industrial 'estate' (5 or 6 companies) in Ceglie Messapica seems to specialise in windows and doors (infissi).
From Ostuni head to Ceglie, follow the ring road towards Francavilla and the industrial estate is on your left.

I got quotes from 3 companies there - and would have happily gone with 2 of them. If you'd like their details feel free to email me.

Pasquale's son, Mimo, speaks a bit of English and was very helpful.
They are both on the same industrial estate in Ceglie. There are a few more on the same estate but I was happy with these so didn't carry on getting preventivo after preventivo.
Please say I recommended them!
Good luck!
Helen

Do they have internal doors on stock? I need to buy one in July.
We had a joiner to give us a quote for one fitting. He must have been mad, he quoted me €450 so i showed him the door.
We bought all our furniture from Franco Villa Fontana. There are a lot of Mobli on the road into Franka Villa, they are all located after Mercetone Uno & vary from budget to costoso. Directions If you are on the E90 take the 2nd exit after the Ceglie Messapica exit & follow the road into Franco villa Fontana
Hi Carl, thank you -this is useful information as our recently bought unrenovated property is about a mile outside Fasano, and as yet don't we don't know where any suppliers are....Do you happen to know anyone who supplies windows and doors, all types?
