i'd recommend la romea, [url]www.laromea.com[/url]. My wife and i stayed there a few years ago. Typical italian hospitality, in a great location. From memory it was a little expensive, but ryanair does allow you to spash out a bit on accommodation. i have since seen them advertise in the magazine.

Try villaman.com - they have quite a few apartments in centre of Lucca - and many can be rented for less than a week.
