416 Where's my introduction gone???????

I'm sure I did one but it has disappeared.......

Anyway I'll do another.

Until 3 weeks ago I lived in rainy cold and wet Maldon and ate Tesco's food and dreamed off the day my children would have a bit of space and freedom and I could grow things.

I now live in sunny Marche. My children have their freedom and my husband and I are more relaxed than we have been in years. Yes I have just started growing things, (tomato, peppers, basil and marrows to start with).

Next week I have to go and see a lady about a job butI'm in no rush to work. I think I see if I can start in September, when the children start school.

I know it is very early days, but any tiny regrets?

When we finally do it, I am expecting to have some regrets, probably due to the fear of the unknown of actually living in a 'foreign country', but I'm sure any regrets, however slight will be forgotten about due to a better all round quality of life, especially hopefully for the children.

Keep me/us informed of progress out there.

PS Thanks for your response to my question about removal expenses.

No problem for the advice. Not yet no regrets yet. Even today when we had a problematic day which in the UK would have sent me in a furious mood. My son last night deprived me of sleep and when I woke I was thrown out of the house because a bees nest was being built in the chimney. A friend blocked it up and we spent the morning on the beach then had a cake and coffee later. Everything was so much less complicated than in the UK.
