Has anyone done this? How long did it take and how much did it cost?

I am more interested in how much it cost as we are debating whether to take our furniture or buying new out there. Removal companies want too much (weighed against the value of our second hand bits) so we are considering driving it over. :)

Which part of Puglia are you going? Where are you going from and when are you looking to go because we are contemplating the same.

Don't suppose anyone would consider offsetting their costs by taking a box of two of general 'stuff' (games, towels, a few books etc etc) for us would they? We'd collect from you at the other end.

A cheeky long shot I know!

I usedto driveto Brindisi from London very often, before RYIAN AIR came about!!!! ;)

It used to cost me around 3 1/2 tanks of petrol around £50 for Italian motorway and whatever it costed to cross the channel, which is the most expensive part of the trip!!!!!
As long as you do not drive through Frances motorway it will cost you at the most £350 each way.
I used to drive through:
Belgium, Luxembourg, Metz, Colmar, Mulhouse, Basil, Geneva, San Gottardo Tunnel, Milan, Bologna, Pescara, Foggia, Bari and finally Brindisi

It used to be a great drive if not in a hurry.....

ciao a tutti
these are generally excellent but you have to pay for the use of them, you will have to try and work out the time you will save and fuel to the cost of the tolls to pay. ciao marco
