Where in Abruzzo exactly? Do you want a property by the sea or near the mountans?
You also need to consider whether you want a plot of land to build or something ready and the price.
A good starting point for professional agents is the FIAIP web site www.fiaip.it
If you need any further information please send me a PM

We have just bought a house in Abruzzo, about half an hour from Lanciano. We used ACA Immobiliare in Lanciano. www.acaimmobiliare.it Itailian/ english speaking solicitors within the firm with english contact. Ask for Jonny. We have been very pleased with the complete service they offer

Hi Lilly,
Have a look at www.prossimacasa.com They are in central Abruzzo near Sulmona and offer a very knowledgeable local service from accommodation and viewing tours right through to purchase and restoration.
Happy hunting!
Ciao for now. :)

All I can do is echo what Terence said about ACA immobiliare. The agents name is Jonny Allen and not only is he very helpful, but there was no pressure involved with our sale, he helps you to find exactly what you are looking for without trying to exceed your budget, I can highly recommend them.

i would suggest that you travel to the place look around where you like and sort out that first.... then as you might well do in england go inot the local estate agents and ask them to see houses with the numebr of required bedrooms/ land and condition.... you might well be surprised how easy it is....and often how reasonable the agents/prices are... most will not bite your head off and will in general be quite happy to attempt to sell you a home
