John is right, providing that you are talking about a very "simple" situation ie. just local taxes, rubbish tax etc, and a small /negligable income or pension or something like that.
if you have diverse interests, more than one property,a business, more incomes, and or you are subject to VAT etc then you'd be best advised to get a commercialista.
In my case she takes care of 4 vat declarations per annum, the annual tax form and the november one which is an advance on the following year, the registration of all received invoices (there are a lot)and the various other things which happen. In the case for example of visits by the Guardia di Finanza she would come round ,the same if one were sorted for some kind of "accertamento fiscale"of which i've had two this year!!!!! both ended happily.
Bottom line i pay here at the moment Euro 2.400,00 (incl. vat) per annum on a forfeit basis.

Anyone know of one in san Vito dei Normanni or where I get info to find on myself.
We only have house in san Vito and Alexs' comapny pension at the moment plus abit og money in UK.
We could definately do with someone who knows what they're doing at the Italian end, 'cos we haven't got a clue !!!!..especially income tax.
if its simple skip the accountant and use a bookeeper.... very much cheaper and essentially providing the same service ...ie form filling and calculations .... eg our ici tax calculated and form filled for e20 per year
