I Am Looking To Find A Good And Honest English Speaking Lawyer In Lake Como (como) As I Am Thinking Of Buying A Property On The Lake, Is It Necessary ? As The Property Is A New Build And If So What Will His Work Involve And How Much Will I Expect To Pay.
Also How Can I Really Know That I Havnt Paid Over The Odds For This Property As I HaVE Just Seen A Posting That Mentions Foreigners Usually Pay More

Of course you can go ahead without any legal advice - but simply ask ourself what would you would intuitively do in the UK - you would have a property solicitor to do the conveyancing. We can all go counter-intuitive when buying in Italy - its a bit like that. I think for these kinds of services you can probably get a UK law firm to do the whole thing and give you peace of mind for about €1000 -€1200. We ahve used John Howell & Co at Covent Gardens - their Italian avvecato is called Laura Protti.
