Of course you can go ahead without any legal advice - but simply ask ourself what would you would intuitively do in the UK - you would have a property solicitor to do the conveyancing. We can all go counter-intuitive when buying in Italy - its a bit like that. I think for these kinds of services you can probably get a UK law firm to do the whole thing and give you peace of mind for about €1000 -€1200.
