1404 Transport

Has anybody used this company to get goods over to Italy, just a quick look and they seem pretty reasonable to me, but I may be missing something. I know extra insurance will be needed, I can see that.

I used them last week to get some stuff from Derbyshire to Le Marche. I would not recommend them for fragile things, I had wrapped pictures in bubble wrap and in a big tight cardboard box but it had obviously been dropped from a great height at some stage as three sheets of glass were broken and the box had been 'repaired' with a lot of gaffer tape - I'm not making a big fuss about it - the glass can be replaced cheaply and at least my pictures are finally there, they are only of sentimental value so chances of getting anything back would be minimal. I partly blame myself for not adding in even more padding.
They were efficient in picking up and delivering and the perspex pictures were fine - I wouldn't send a Ming vase with them though!

Thanks for that marinaw, I had read your recent comments about the goods arriving damaged but hadn't realised it was the same company. Will remember to pack extra well if we use them. :p
