1424 Viva Italia Show

Hi there,

I am going with my hubby to the "Viva Italia" Show currently on at Earl's Court tomorrow. Has anybody else been to see it yet, or is anyone going tomorrow? Tomorrow is the last day. Just wondering if anyone has been, and what there thoughts are on the Show.

Ciao

I wanted to go, but had to work all day today :( and I'm at home on my own with all 4 kids tomorrow. Don't fancy the drive to London and stroll round an exhibition with 4 kids in tow! :)

I hope someone from here does go and we can hear all about it :)

We are hoping to go tomorrow (Sunday). We are expecting to be there around 1.00pm.

In case anyone is interested Giambrone & Law are going to be represented on the Italy Mag stand, I understand, if anyone is interested in some legal advice.

My mother went on Friday together with a friend. They had a great day tasting deliciously heavy cakes & purest olive oil! There seem to have been many estate agents, based in UK and Italy, and she made some useful contacts for her search for a rental place (to start with) near Como.

They enjoyed some lovely chats in a mixture of English-Italian and in one case English-German-Italian and found out about the medical effect of olive oil in cases of skin rashes and sore throats! Being a naturopath herself, she found out that many northern Italians tend to go across the border to Switzerland for treatment and she hopes that she can 'convert' some of those to come & see her once she's settled.

She was also given the extremely useful advice by a wily Italian estate agent to invite the mayor for dinner after her intended move!! This would apparently help in getting through all these bureaucratic processes a little quicker!! :D :D

Overall, she had a great day with lots of information & brochures... can't wait to get them in the post!!

Hi there,
have just returned from our "Italian" day out. The show overall was good, although we could only find the one stand with property to buy/rent in the Veneto/Northern Italy :( But saying that, the lady was very helpful and gave us her contact number. Enjoyed sampling the various food stands, and the cookery demonstration was great. The chef Umberto, made making pasta look so easy, so will be giving that a go soon
Came away quite satisfied overall, but seeing that Italy is famous for gelato and pizza, there was only one stand selling gelato, and no pizza's in sight!! :(
Perhaps they are saving them up for the food and wine show there next month. :o
Ciao
