We're on the Salaria between Ascoli and Porto D'Ascoli / San Benedetto del Tronto, and we've been subjected to some absolutely incredible downpours accompanied by occasional violent wind (the weather not me). Reading on the 'on-line' press San Benedetto is well and truly flooded in parts. You can have a look at the various web cams at www.meteorivierapicena.net to get an idea. Glad we're not on the beach but instead in front of the telly watching the Mens' Final at Wimbledon!
And we had hail this afternoon

We are between Tolentino and San Ginesio near the village of Paterno, and it was torrential this afternoon, including hail stones. We have experienced weather like this before, in August a couple of years ago and were absolutely astounded at the flash lightening and thunder. Just hoping for better weather this week. And unfortunately our Sky dish does not work in this weather, so watching Wimbledon was out of the question.
Weather is not

Well, you are not alone, I see in today's paper that Her Majesty's first Buckingham Palace Garden Party was rained out by a torrential storm, the venerable lawns covered with hail stones and scattered chairs as everyone dived for cover...the band played on apparently...
