Thanks for the links but of the thousands of hits 95% are for the same site, over and over ,every time it mentions the words typed! so I know what the population is and kind of obvious stuff, I had hoped for something a bit more personal? hope that doesn't sound too cheeky!

Try going into www.google.it or www.yahoo.it but try the advanced search. This allows you to specify words you want to EXCLUDE so you might want to exclude commune, popolazione etc..
You might also want to add some more words in....... personal covers many (ahem!) sins, so try expanding your search criteria.
If you are just looking for 'stuff' then "tough!" you're going to have to sit & trawl through a stack of dross!
:D
Tough!

When I said personal, I meant people who had been, lived in or around or even visited. Not just people who had just searched the internet for their advice!!!!!

My error; I obviously got the wrong end of the stick. Thanks for being so understanding though.

I live quite close to Falerone,it's a deightful, very small pretty town on a hilltop more or less postioned along the middle of the Tenna valley exactly half way between the sea and the mountains both of which can be seen from the town.It has as you may already have seen an archealogical site of Roman remains including an interesting amfiteatro which hosts recitals in the summer. Not a lot happens in Falerone(like most of the little towns and villages round here). The restaurants in Falerone are not very particular. The slopes leading up to the town enjoy a particularly mild climate favouring very good olives. The piane di Falerone ie. at the bottom of the hill provide a certain number of shops and services along the main road as there are small industrial sites providing employment to people in the area but up at the top it stays pretty quiet.definitely worth having a look at this town.It would take only 20 mins to get to the sea and little more to the mountains by car.If there's anything else or particular or specific you'd like to know feel free to mail me.
I googled it too and came up with 48,000 references including ther first one which was the cities official website giving information on restaurants, to stay, the arts etc. Most sites are in 'italian' but when I tried for 'english' sites only I got 2,180. quite a sizable trawl i'd say. Of these sites in english there were several on property sales and purchase. Try google again.
