1813 newbie to the forum and Italy

Hi everyone

Myself ( Darren ) and my wife Tracy are just about to complete on a property
in Lunigiana very near Casola, and came across this forum only today, after reading through, i find you all to be very friendly and very helpfull with the information you give,Hope you dont mind but we will need as much help as possible with the work we are to undertake on the house,so i will be asking quite a few quetions. Apart from that, how very nice to meet you all

Welcome from a soon to be Puglia dweller! Like you we have found the forum extremely useful and very friendly. We're off to Puglia next week - hair is turning grey and falling out at the moment (removals / house buyer / solicitors, especially solicitors!!)

Hi Darren and Tracy,

Welcome to the forum - and to Lunigiana. We bought our cottage (just outside Aulla) 3 years ago and love the area, the people, the food, the wine, the scenery, everything. We did have (and are still having) a problem with pre-emption on our property (check out the previous discussions on this), but we still do not regret our decision to buy in Italy.

Good luck and I'm sure you'll enjoy Lunigiana every bit as much as we do.
