Hi There
Im a newbie to the forum and would like to ask a similar question,
does anyone know if there are any Satellite installation ( supply and fix) dishes and digiboxes that will pick up English sky/free to air stations, in and around the Aulla area?

Technically Blonde, are you looking for a system or just the dish? If you want to get a dish for the Italian Sky system you should contact your local appliance store as they will have it and they can set you up with an installer. If you need a bigger dish to pick up Sky UK (and you already have the digibox) contact me as I have a dish for sale and I can find you an installer.
Darren, if you have a Sky Digibox, you can get Sky UK but you wil need a rather large dish depending on where you are. You will be able to get some channels butnot ITV, E4, BBC unless the dish is VERY large (in Rome you need 3 meters)

Do you want this as a regular subscription ie are you planning on living there, or does this need to be a temporary thing?

Ciao
Io abito a Limerick in Irlanda, vorrei ricevere SKY ITALIA per vedere
il calcio di serie A.
Ho una parabola per ricevere Rai 1,2,3. etc su satellite Hotbird 13 est.
Vorrei un abbonamento pero' non ho un indirizzo per questo.
Puo' qualcuno aiutarmi?

It would be temp usage at the moment, geared towards renting out the property to holiday makers, but then for us our selves, so the idea is free to air for rental purposes and then subscription ( get a card for personal use)

Hi,
I'm also very interested in this area, and was looking into getting a >2.4m dish (which is what I believe is required to receive english signals from Tuscany).
If anyone knows any satellite dish providers and/or installation kits could you please let me know!
Thanks a million!
C

I may be wrong but I thought there were at least three Sky satellite 'footprints' one of which is the Astra 2 South Beam which enables reception throughout Italy of the following..
Welsh CH4, TCM (movies), Sky Sports, Cartoon Network,
Sky News, ITV News, CNN News, BBC Radios 2 & 4 FM,
Most "UKTV" channels (UK Gold etc.), Most Discovery channels...
Try the following link:

Granted that if you want full UK TV stuff from Sky then you would need a biggish dish around 90cm if in Tuscany (see footprint on the linked site)

Wasn't aware of this; thought everything was on the narrow-beam only.
Thanks a mil!
