No idea offhand but www.diy.com (B&Q) should give you a guide (and there is 10% off this weekend;who says living in the UK doesn't have some benefits). If you have a local Castorama outlet (B&Q trading name in Europe; they also have a website - http://www.castorama.it/ but are less helpful with pricing products online) then you might find prices are not significantly different to the UK. (Pescara & Teramo are handy for us)

Over here, Over here. All the DIY equipment that we have replaced since moving has cost on average a third less! Also as someone else has said already you will not have a problem if anything goes wrong?

thx, when we last over we looked at various stuff in Brico and found it to be *(roughly) the same number in Euros as we are used to in GBP, approximately a third less! Looks like the drill is the same, and as you say guarantee in Italy could be useful

We would agree, my husband always comments on how much cheaper the DIY bits and pieces are here than in the UK and he thinks that most of the specialist shops also offer a better selection of 'boys toys'.
Thanks for this thread

I was thinking about buying some more tools before coming to Italy, but I think I'll leave it, I intend getting a SDS drill, does anyone know what they are called over there I can't seem to find one on-line in the Italian DIY stores.
Stribs
A third less!

Yes that is generally what we found price wise with all major purchases when we first moved here.
Dare we ask any news on your move yet?
Think they are similar in price. Bosch is widely available. Its always nice to have a moulded schuko plug on the end and have the benefit of a guarantee.
