I think its the end of March.
I'd suggest that you go to their website and get their contact details - then give them a ring - they will let you know whats happening

Well, last year i was able to book flights in sept for Glasgow - Pisa in May.
Just now, for april its not available. If you look at some of their new routes out of Glasgow, for the same dates, bookings are being taken.
It all looks a bit unusual.
I tried calling them yesterday, but it was too busy, will try again today

Hi Iain
I've been looking at the Prestwick-Pisa flights for April and May 2006 for the last few days - they're definitely there on my computer! Looking very pricey though. At those prices better off going with BA.

Nicola
Your right, i had only looked at Saturday flights for the prestwick - pisa. Looks like they have cut back on the flighs and taken the saturday flight and the thursday flight off the schedule, unless these are sold out, which i doubt.
Still cannot find flights to Rome from prestwick, or stansted to pescara, which is my preferred flights for getting to Abruzzo.

Ian, I think they are putting them up gradually, Easyjet always email when flights have been opened but Ryanair leave you to discover for yourself.
I think they are putting up much higher fares than last year on some routes - eg Ancona so early booking may not be such a good thing this year.
I'm just hoping they keep the Pescara flights at the winter times of midday - 0700 was a hellish time when you're driving from the north!

From March to Sept 'FlyGlobespan' fly from Edinburgh to Rome (FCO)- not the route you state, but perhaps an alternative? Friends flew this route summer 2005, I don't think the flights were daily, but the timings were fairly civilised.

Hi I normally fly to pescara and lately i am having real difficulties to book tickets as most of the dates are unavailable. I been flying to pescara regularly for the past few years and never had so many problems. I eared that ryaniar are reconsidering most of the route since they have introduced flights to bari and brindisi are making sure that they are not making loss on the pescara airport this is why they keep changing times and dates all the time, I hope that they will resume soon full operation to pescara, Please do post if you know on what their plan is.

The Pescara flights have now been listed, back to daily flights with a time of 13:35.......beats the 07:00 start for me. Stupid prices at the minute though.

Brilliant - thanks for telling us..Hmm re prices though. Hooray re times - save me a night in London.

No problem, a relief that the flights are listed and back to daily flights after the rumours of flight cuts! I don't think the prices will be an issue, get Christmas out of the way and the offers will start for a few months down the line. I agree about the flight times also, about a 2-3hr drive for me so likewise saves an overnight stay.
Phew.....

So glad to have read this thread as we thought Pescara had been dumped post March and the prices through the roof.
Will definitely check after Christmas as we have to book for seven of us in Feb/ March, so it has to be cheapie flights or it will be a really long walk!!!!!!!!!!!
My ultimate wish would be Luton - Pescara as Stanstead is a 3 hour journey for us also.

Michael O'Leary announced, this morning, 18 new Ryanair flights out of Dublin planned for 2006 including Milan and Venice; and an increase of flights on a number of their existing routes.
Now that the Irish Airports Authority (Aer Rianta - Ryanair's old foe) has been broken up, could it be that Ryanair are moving, slowly, back to Ireland?
BBC news were in Luton airport this morning talking to easyjet staff and a travel journalist. Apparently, he says, some airlines are, due to competition, re-considering their no seat allocation policies. The bad news is, if this happens, prices will go up slightly.
However, I think we'd all gladly pay a few bob more to avoid the scrums! Wouldn't we?

Looks like the morning Bari flights are no more  :(

i noticed the reduction in flights to puglia as well.the morning flight suited me as i live close to stanstead.i suppose this will mean more expensive flights in spring and summer when more people want to travel

Reviving this thread to see if anyone can suggest the logic to the following anomaly. I'm looking for flights at the end of April and have found the exact reverse of the normal situation, i.e. flights between Stansted and Pisa are considerably cheaper than Stansted and Genoa (but neither place is what I'd call cheap). Does anyone think that if we hold off, the prices might fall?
In reply to A newbie all over again! by Annec
Well the 1p flights thing until Mar 25 runs until tomorrow night so possibly they will look at reducing flights after that date after that. Its always a gamble but if its not for a bank holiday w/e I would wait until next week at least.
Hope that helps

I have been trying to book a ryanair flight from Teeside to Rome - the route started off last february - went on this flight at new year and was told its been taken off!
Pamela
Hiya - Ryan Air don't usually post flights for the rest of the year until after Christmas. We have some guests waiting to book and its normally the same at this time of year. Take heart.
