2160 Help on architects/geometra's

We need some help.

Bought a nice :) watermill near Armeno/Lago d'orta/piemonte and are now looking for an architect or geometra who speaks English next to italian to take on the rebuilding project.
Anyone have any ideas?

I've sent you a PM

My holiday place is just up the road from Armeno - next village towards Mottarone.

My Geometra [recommended by my estate agent] was great - but doesn't speak English - but we managed with sketches and mime.

He delivered to cost and time [though it was a small job- about £15000]

His name was Vergani - works in Briga Novarese [if you look in Italian Yellow pages they should have his number]

There are one or two Geometras in Armeno - again look in yellow pages and search by job title - I haven't used them.

I do have a friend [a Scot] who does. amongst other things, project management. He works in Milan - but has a place in Armeno that he spends a lot of time at. I only met him after my place had been done up - so can't vouch for his work. I have seen a place he renovated in Scotland - looks fantastic, so it could be worth contacting him

If you need his details - PM me [at least he has an e-mail address - so you could contact him easily]

Welcome to the best part of Italy

[you are only the 3rd 'Brit' that I know of in the area - apart from Michael Aspel who apparently has a place the other side of the lake.

[I'll be over 2nd week in January if you're around]

Tx to you all, you helped me a lot already!;) What a good forum this is!
