U.S. Measurement Metric Measurement

1 teaspoon 5 milliliters
1 tablespoon 15 milliliters
1 fluid ounce (2 tablespoons) 30 milliliters
2 fluid ounces (1/4 cup) 60 milliliters
8 fluid ounces (1 cup) 240 milliliters
16 fluid ounces (2 cups = 1 pint) 480 milliliters
32 fluid ounces (2 pints = 1 quart) 950 milliliters (.95 liter)
128 fluid ounces (4 quarts = 1 gallon) 3.75 liters

CANDY CANE

Ingredients:

3/4-ounce peppermint Schnapps

3/4-ounce crème de cacao

1/4-ounce grenadine

2 ounces half and half

A splash of 7-Up

Directions: Mix ingredients in cocktail mixer over ice, pour into glass without ice and garnish with a candy cane.

FRANGELICO FLOAT

Ingredients:

1 cup vanilla ice cream

1 and 1/4-ounce Frangelico

1 ounce dark crème de cacao

1/4-ounce milk

1 ounce chocolate sauce

Directions: Mix ingredients in blender. Once blended, top with whipped cream.

WHITE CHRISTMAS

Ingredients:

1 ounce Godiva white chocolate liqueur

1 ounce white crème de cacao

1 ounce crème de menthe

1 ounce half and half

Directions: Mix ingredients, pour into martini glass and garnish with a chocolate mint.

CHRISTMAS PUDDING ("Punch with a kick")

Ingredients:

100 milliliters Southern Comfort

100 milliliters Drambuie

500 milliliters Guinness draught beer (chilled)

Directions: Combine ingredients in a punch bowl and enjoy. Modify the number of servings by maintaining a 5-to-1 ratio for Guinness to Southern Comfort and Drambuie.

CHRISTMAS CHEER

Directions: Equal parts eggnog and peppermint Schnapps over ice — a delicious twist on tradition.

WHITE CHOCOLATE ESPRESSO MARTINI (A Red Crow Grille original)

Ingredients:

1 ounce vanilla Stolichnaya liqueur

1 ounce Godiva white chocolate liqueur

1 ounce Godiva dark chocolate liqueur

1 ounce espresso

Directions: Mix all ingredients in a martini shaker filled with ice. Pour into a martini glass lined with chocolate sauce. Garnish with espresso sprinkle and chocolate-covered hazelnut biscotti.

CHOCOLATE-COVERED CHERRY

Ingredients:

1 ounce vanilla Stolichnaya vodka

1 ounce Godiva dark chocolate liqueur

1 ounce maraschino syrup

1 chocolate-covered cherry

Directions: Mix first three ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Line a martini glass with white chocolate sauce, and place chocolate-covered cherry in bottom. Pour drink mixture, without ice, into the glass for a beautiful dark red and white presentation with a surprise at the bottom.

Hot Drinks

SHILLELAGH

Ingredients:

1 ounce Bailey's Irish Cream

1 ounce Bushmill's Irish Whiskey

6 ounces coffee

Directions: Mix all ingredients and top with whipped cream. Drizzle with green crème de menthe for extra pizzazz.

WHITE CHOCOLATE HAZELNUT COFFEE

Ingredients:

1 ounce Godiva white chocolate liqueur

1 ounce Frangelico

6 ounces coffee

Directions: Garnish with whipped cream and sprinkle with shaved chocolate or ground nutmeg.

HOT BUTTERED RUM

Ingredients:

1 bottle dark rum

3 cinnamon sticks

1/2-cup brown sugar

2 cups water

Directions: Mix all ingredients in a crock pot. Heat on low setting for 4 hours. Serve by pouring over a very cold pat of butter in a clear decorative glass. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.

WASSAIL (Nonalcoholic)

Ingredients:

1 and 3/4 cups sugar

1 quart water

2 whole cloves

4 cinnamon sticks

4 whole allspice

2 teaspoons ginger

Directions: Boil sugar and water for 10 minutes. Add spices and let set for one hour. Remove spices and add 2 cups lemon juice, 2 quarts apple cider and 3 cups orange juice. Bring to a boil and serve warm.

CRANBERRY DAIQUIRIS

Ingredients:

1 12-ounce can of frozen cranberry juice cocktail

6 ounces rum

Ice

Directions: Put juice in blender, add rum, fill blender with ice and mix. This recipe makes a beautiful deep magenta-colored drink perfect for parties.

Author's Choice:

SPICED CIDER (Nonalcoholic)

Ingredients:

2 quarts apple cider

2 cinnamon sticks

Nutmeg and cloves (to taste)

Directions: Heat in crockpot on low, simmering for 1 to 2 hours. Serve in mugs with cinnamon sticks as garnish.
