Great thanks - at least that is a start - a friend here also suggested something called, I think, "compravendita", which I think is the equivalent of a bring and buy sale!!!!!
Anyone know how to find out when they are on?
In Vetralla there is Antonio who has tons of stuff, including glass panelled doors-we just had him clean out our garage and he brought them away. If you are looking for stone stuff including wonderful fireplaces again here in Vetralla there is Ginevra Poleggi who has been salvaging and selling this stuff for about 40 years. My fireplaces, kitchen and bathroom marble sinks, etc. come from her place...between Viterbo and Vetralla.
Do you know of any reclamation yards near Sulmona. The Italians never seem to have any skips that you can pick over.sid
