Too good to be true, going back for another look and a proper read it says that they arn't marzipan they are in fact Prosculpt polymer clay and mohair. Still got the Aaaahhhhhh factor for me......

I saw a lot, and I mean a LOT of marzipan fruits and decorations at pasticcerias in Rome. I know Sicily is the traditional home of nearly all things sweet in Italy, but you might consider approaching a cookery school, or even a pasticceria in Rome to see if they would be willing to show you the basic technique...

I've been thinking about your post for several days, and waiting for someone with an answer for you. Just letting you know that sometimes no answers come not because there is no interest in your question, but that there isn't anyone who knows the answer.
If I was in your situation I'd look on the web for a site that sells marzipan in Sicily. Then, I'd email them with your request for learning about it, and what you'd like to do with it in Taiwan. Maybe someone will be interested in teaching you.
